Training Log – Week of June 16th, 2025

A week of heat with way above normal temperatures has settled over Albuquerque. Getting out before sunrise is a necessity and I hadn’t gone far before I realized that we were also going to be dealing with wildfire smoke today.

I was determined to get out the door at 6:00 like I was leaving for work and I came pretty close. Just a loop to get back in time to get my daughter up in time to go to the gym.

There is no such thing as a bad day when you are able to run. I just had a slow day and didn’t go as far as I wanted to. I went early enough and it was gorgeous, but I didn’t see the sense in keeping going if my legs just didn’t have it today.

When you wake up and get a “10” HRV and only need a sort run to get your miles for the week, you do it! After breakfast, I did the regular before church strength workout – 25 Minute Speed Train Week 1 Day 5.
