Training Log – Week of June 30, 2025

After yesterday’s hike with my daughter on the Piedra Lisa Trail in Albuquerque, I knew that my legs would be sore. I also knew that the day would heat up quickly, so I got out the door before sunrise.

Monday June 30th, 2025

Before sunrise run to start the week. My legs were sore from yesterday, and I just got in some miles to try to loosen them up a bit.

I was only a couple of minutes into my run when I saw this image of the dark clouds over the Sandias with the sun already risen shining behind them and rising above them.

That “run” was actually a struggle. Far too many rocks and it was too much after yesterday’s run. I did get my 20+ miles for the week, but I paid a price to get it

I did a much needed 25 Minute Speed Train Week 1 Day 7 Flexibility & Mobility workout this morning before church. For months, I have been doing a workout, showering, and getting ready in time to watch the Lakewood Church service at 10:00 MT.
