My training log for the week of October 13th, 2025 doesn’t start the week with a run, but rather a new program from Tony Horton – The Power of 4. I got some blood test results back, and I am low on sodium and my potassium. I don’t know what that means, but maybe doing a rest day workout and walk uses common sense.

Power of 4 Day 1, and it’s like deja vu. I started P90X on March 25th, 2007 (and did Kenpo X which I really didn’t like). Based on this workout and how back to Tony being Tony it is, I love Power of 4!

I ran this morning and saw something that I’ve never seen in Albuquerque. We had a lot of remnant moisture from Tropical Storm Raymond and all of the grasses and natural vegetation had water droplets clinging to it that glinted in the sun. The photo doesn’t do it justice. When I got home, I did half of Power of 4 Day 2 for an hour of working out. An hour a day keeps the doctor away!

Power of 4 Day 2 Part 2, and realizing that there are actually two points during the workout that Tony calls, “Stop Option”!
My daughter and I did a loop in the Rio Grande Valley that included a hike to the Albuquerque BioPark Aquarium along the Duranes Ditch, which was built in 1706 and is considered the oldest registered ditch in North America.

There has been so much moisture in the air during monsoon season and now the humidity is dropping and it is getting clear. That is Mt. Taylor to the west, about 55 miles away.
A band of aspens at probably 9,000′ has turned orange. I would love to be up there to see them, but the only way to do that is to see them as we pass by on the Sandia Peak Tram.
