My training log for the week of October 13th, 2025 shows a precipitous decline in workout quality and duration, and is cause to take action. On Tuesday, October 21st, I went to Academy Dental Care, and on Friday, October 24th, I went to my new primary, Dr. Kerry Song, and had blood tests done. The results showed low sodium, low Vitamin D, and high B12, so addressing these issues is a start to dealing with my fatigue.

Run followed by half of the Power of 4 Day 5 workout

Tuesday October 21st, 2025
I spent 20:00 riding in Torres del Paine, Chile on my Kona Kilauea on the trainer.
Wednesday October 22nd, 2025
This week’s adventure with my daughter went north again in the Rio Grande Valley State Park, and we saw what we had hoped to see. Just two sandhill cranes, but that means many more are on the way.
Thursday October 23rd, 2025
Before the hike, I did The Power of 4 Day 5 Part 2. Thankfully, this was not part of the workout!
Friday October 24th, 2025
Short walk before my doctor’s appointment and couldn’t run a step because I am so fatigued.

Saturday October 25th, 2025
Since one of the blood test results showed low Vitamin D3, I got some before my hike. I struggled in the first couple of miles, but then started feeling stronger. I was drinking Tailwind Endurance Fuel, so maybe that helped.

Sunday October 27th, 2025
I hiked up to just over 6,200′, and then I decided to end the hike most of the way back, and run the rest of the way. One of the blood tests showed that I was low in Vitamin D, and taking D3 yesterday morning and this morning made me feel like night and day better!
