My training log for the week of October 20th, 2025 started much better than last week as I acted on the blood test results and got vitamin D. Unlike last week, I was able to do runs during the week that didn’t require walking or result in falling asleep at work!

It’s nice to live in the suburbs of a city and be able to walk about 75% of the way to the grocery store and back on singletrack!
Tuesday October 28th, 2025
I intentionally kept it short, but that was the best run I’ve had in over a month. Being deficient in Vitamin D was really slowing me down!

It felt challenging during the 572′ of elevation gain in the first half of the hike with my daughter this morning, but then it was all downhill with Mt. Taylor in the distance all of the way back!

Some of the trees are already losing their leaves and monsoon green is being replaced with a golden/brown. We are in the dry season now.
