Training Log for the Week of November 17th, 2025

My training log for the week of November 17th starts with one of the best adventures ever on the Sandia Crest. My older daughter turned 21, and we planned to take the Sandia Peak Tramway to the Crest, hike, and then have lunch at the Ten 3 Restaurant at 10,378′.

For my daughter’s 21st birthday, we took the Sandia Peak Tramway from 6,659′ up to 10,378′ and then hiked north on the Crest Trail up to 10,574′. Amazing conditions with a wind chill of 13, and then clearing skies to see the view to the east during lunch!

And so begins another BODi program. It’s 30 days, and it might be 30 different workouts, which is really nice. I predict that Dig In will be a good one!

I have a laptop set up on a countertop so that I can work standing, but it is also a good place to do workouts, like Dig In Week 1 Day 2 Arms and Chest.

Lots of clouds to the west ahead of all of the moisture that is coming from the recent storms in California.

Dig In is actually awesome, but I am only doing the “dig” and then running. I briefly saw snow on the mountain but couldn’t get a picture of it before the clouds lowered. I saw my “pacer” when I got back and asked him where he was when I needed him. They are the friendliest birds!

I’ve waited since Monday to get pictures of actual snow on the Sandias, and I was rewarded today. It’ probably more than six inches above 10,000′.

Just a walk/ruck to the grocery store and back. There is very little visible snow on the Sandias, but if you saw the east side of the mountain, it would look like the east side of Mt. Taylor, which has plenty of snow!

The flu-like reaction to the flu shot only lasted about 12 hours. I wasn’t sure how I would feel today, so I just walked and, thankfully, my legs felt great!
