Training Log for the Week of December 8th, 2025

My training log for the week of December 8th 2025 begins on my 75th birthday and ends with me finally getting past the drug interaction. I had hoped to do a good run to celebrate another birthday milestone, but I ended up not even running for 20:00…

Monday, December 8th, 2025

Today was 20:00 of Dig In and 20:00 of running to start the new streak. This is all the snow I could find left over from last Thursday!

Another age-group 1-mile PR even with challenging conditions on the trail!

Another age-group 1-mile PR, even with challenging conditions on the trail!

Thursday December 11th, 2025

After some good news from the doctor, I went home and ran. It was a little longer today but a little slower because of “treacherous” trail conditions!

I never thought that I would be saying that I liked a Shaun T workout, but I do like Dig In. There, I said it!

Saturday December 13th, 2025

I learned a big lesson about drug interactions, and except for being disabling for a few days, it was a good lesson. At 75, being a runner is not just about running. I have been strength training more often since last Wednesday and now it is an established part of my training (as it should have been all along). Today I finished Phase 1 of Dig In, and even got a Badge for doing it!

It actually seems that “there are more ways than one to skin a cat” probably refers to a “catfish”. That means that I can use it to describe my walk then run as being more than one way to get back into running shape.
