Training Log for the Week of January 26th, 2026

My training log for the week of January 26th, 2026, shows a week of lighter-than-usual training and a day off. I am actually experimenting with supplements and workouts now to have a better year moving forward.

Monday January 26th, 2026

I’m up to 30:00 of pilates. I think that I am going to try the 10 Minute Bike workouts and work up to three ten-minute workouts. In the meantime, I am going to ride 10:00 to warm up to run.

I did a 10 Minute Cycle workout and tracked it with Wahoo. I only wanted to do a mile because it was a warm-up for running. The run was at midday, and the moon was rising over the Sandias!

Wednesday January 28th, 2026

Just under an hour today with a walk/ruck loop to the grocery store and then three 10 Minute BODi workouts – shoulders, glutes, and flexibility.

Active rest day

Friday January 30th, 2026

The dirt path that starts a minute from my house and goes to the top of the Sandias (with about a mile of pavement in the middle)!

I couldn’t wait to drive to the Smith’s on Tramway to get some things and then run east into the foothills. With three wrong turns into cul-de-sacs, I added quite a bit to the 584′ of elevation gain in the 35:00 out, all uphill run. The second image is one of the cul-de-sacs!

Sunday February 1st, 2026

I was on a mission to find a trail that headed south and connected two trails. I did find one that has potential, so mission accomplished. I got 1,382′ of elevation gain for the week.
