Training Log for the Week of November 10th, 2025

My training log for the second full week of November is off to a better start with the Runna app creating my workouts now. Runna syncs to Strava, Apple Health, and Cronometer so I am tracking my training like an elite!

Monday November 10th, 2025

Beautiful fall foliage looking toward Mt. Taylor. It is mostly obscured, though, by smoke from a controlled burn in the Jemez Mountains to the north.

Tuesday November 11th, 2025

I am moving on from listening to “Born To Run 2”. It is all about running barefoot now and how good it is for your feet and your running. There is a zero percent chance that I would be here and running barefoot – ever (although I did see a guy doing wind sprints in the park yesterday and running barefoot)!

Wednesday November 12th, 2025

My daughter Grace and I came upon two ponds in the bosque along the Rio Grande that we never knew existed. Grace is a young woman of few words, but she did say “Oh wow” when she saw them!

Thursday November 13th, 2024

Runna is a great British running app and I earned a 2-week free trial from the Runna Strava Challenge. The workout was good, but I couldn’t put my phone in horizontal mode, so that was a drawback.

Friday November 14th, 2024

I stuck to the Runna plan this morning and did the workout as written. It was not easy!

Saturday November 15th, 2024

I love dirt, preferably singletrack, and preferably in the foothills or down by the Rio Grande!

Sunday November 16th, 2024

My daughter Grace and I are going to be hiking on the crest tomorrow. I hope that there is at least a little snow on the east side of the Sandias that I can take pictures of and share!
