My training log for the week of May 5th, 2025 started with a run long enough to get in some miles before the rain in the forecast started.
Monday May 5th, 2025
I did an out and back from my house not really feeling delayed onset muscle soreness from Saturday’s run. Like every other Cocodona Week since I started watching and listening to it several years ago, I was listening to the Cocodona 250 2025 on YouTube!
Tuesday May 6th, 2025
I had planned to go back to Get Strong in the BODi Library and do a workout. The forecast was for significant rain today but the sun came out and I knew that I would have time to get a run in. There is fresh snow on the Crest under those clouds!
Wednesday May 7th, 2025
I’m thankful that I ran yesterday and did Get Strong Day 4 Sculpt 2 today instead of running. I have been so fatigued during this period of averaging 20 miles a week, so today was a nice break.
Thursday May 8th, 2025

Amazing amounts of rain over the past few days caused by the same front that is impacting the Cocodona 250. These look like monsoon clouds more than a month early.
Friday May 9th, 2025
I warmed up to the Academy path and then did hill repeats on a count of 100 with a short walk back on the course to recover.
Saturday May 10th, 2025
I only had time for a strength workout because I am spending the rest of Saturday at my daughter’s homeschool graduation rehearsal and recognition ceremony.
Mother’s Day, May 11th, 2025
Mother’s Day run in the Rio Grande Bosque on my favorite part of one of the acequia paths with fragrant honeysuckles at the start.
