Training Log for the Week of December 22nd, 2025

My training log for the week of December 22nd 2025 started with a walk and run and with more confidence in continued recovery after such an odd and unexpected setback. I learned a lesson and it definitely was painful.

Monday December 22nd, 2025

With the release of 10 Minute BODi today, I may shift away from Dig In and toward doing one or more of the 10:00 workouts. After my health issue, I feel recovered enough that I can run and walk more, and I will have more time if I am not doing the 34:00 Dig In workouts. My walk and run from today.

Tuesday December 23rd, 2025

Almost exactly the same elevation gain as yesterday’s walk, but it was 4:00 faster. The run back was slower, but I got it in.

Wednesday December 24th, 2025

No run or walk today, just a Dig In Phase 2 Legs 2 workout.

Thursday December 25th, 2025

Walk first and keeping up with my Bible reading plan that I have to finish New Year’s Eve, and then a run with a beautiful view of the Sandias as the sun was setting to the west.

Friday December 26th, 2025

Ironically, I am in Revelation in my Bible reading plan (clearly I am up to date), and I had a revelation. Walking is basically slow-motion running, and I definitely notice more. Since I was walking along an arroyo path closer to town, I was able to get a lot of insight into the habits of the homeless. They use the arroyos and arroyo paths as safe transit and I saw what they ate, drank, and where they sought shelter. The photo is across the diversion channel, which provides safe walking access to downtown. My earnest desire is to find a way to make their movements easier and safer as they move through their daily lives.

Saturday December 27th, 2025

I ran in the rain all the time in New Jersey, but then again, I was 30 years younger and so much faster, so I wasn’t in it for very long. I got Grace the 10 Minute BODi subscription for Christmas and tried it out. It is actually very well done. I did three workouts and also got a Badge.

Sunday December 28th, 2025

The walk and run is working well for me, as are the increased number of strength workouts (I had 14 total workouts this week). I felt strong on the 54:00 walk, and the run back was quite good!
