My training log for the week of January 12th, 2026 shows some highs and lows, but overall is just winter training and base work. After Sunday’s run up into Embudito Canyon here in Albuquerque, I started the week with my usual recovery strength workout and some walking to loosen up my legs.
Monday January 12th, 2026
I finished Week 2 of 10 Minute Focus and then did the first Week 3 workout (plus stretching and some farmer’s walking), and then did a 22:00 walk under Albuquerque blue skies!
Between the walk warm-up and then a run, I got 175′ of elevation gain and about an hour of total time. I passed by a Little League field, and it is nothing like the dirt and grass that I played on!


I got in just over an hour, with a walk warm-up, then a run down in the Rio Grande Valley.
