Training Log for the Week of March 23rd 2026

My training log for the week of March 23rd got off to a great start with a run on an acequia path that I thought might have possibilities. It definitely did and I went down there the next day with my daughter Grace!

I ran on an acequia path that I had never run on before that had lots of shade. I believe that path might go 10+ miles from the Sandia Pueblo Reservation to I-40 before it is diverted under the city.

Traditional flood irrigation from the acequias and the geese are loving their new “pond”!

It was 19 years ago today that I started my first round of P90X. All I did today was two 10 Minute Focus workouts (Chest 2 and Back 2). That’s pretty wimpy…

Starting an hour run at close to 7:30 this morning was just what I needed to start the day!

I can really see the benefit of microdose workouts for inflammaging, so I tried it today. I did a quick walk as the sun was rising, a 10 Minute Focus cardio workout in the morning, and then a 10 Minute Focus legs workout in the afternoon. According to Gemini AI “A 60-minute walk once a day provides a great anti-inflammatory signal. But five, 10-minute movement intervals spread throughout the day provide that same signal multiple times. This continuous regulation prevents the inflammation ‘rust’ from setting in.” You can read the full post on my blog https://howtobefit.com/coach-blog/2026/03/26/microdose-fitness-workouts-and-inflammaging/

I don’t know if the microdose workouts have helped, but I ended up having a good run this morning for the first time this year. A while before I started running, I did do the 10 Minute Focus Glutes 2 workout, so maybe that helped!
