Training Log for the Week of March 16th 2026

My training log for the week of March 16th got off to a good start, earning a BODi Badge for P90X Generation Next Week 1 completed. That makes a total of 44 counting programs completed and Badges for Energize, Shakeology, total workouts, etc.

Getting a good workout and a BODi Badge is always a great way to start the week!

I wanted to get out the door before the sun rose, but I was a little late. Still beautiful in the still morning air. I am calling it a hike because it started at 5,465′, was 99% dirt, and had 253′ of elevation gain!

Thursday March 19th, 2026

Three 10 Minute Focus workouts – Glutes, Arms, and Flexibility/Mobility – with Kelsey Heenan.

Friday March 20th, 2026

First day of spring and first spring run, early enough to avoid the forecast 89-degree heat today!

Saturday March 21st, 2026

I struggled on the uphill on the way up because my legs were tired. The turnaround was at 6,376′ at the mouth of Embudito Canyon, and I got 650′ of elevation gain. My hydration was much better on the run back down, and so was my pace.

Sunday March 22nd, 2026

I ran on an acequia path that I had never run on before that had lots of shade. I believe that path might go 10+ miles from the Sandia Pueblo Reservation to I-40 before it is diverted under the city.
