Training Log for the Week of November 2nd 2026

The week of November 2nd started with a ruck along the Rio Grande as my active rest day workout and I experienced the flooding firsthand. With rain last evening, I expected the river to be higher and puddles on the trail, but I didn’t realize that eventually the trail would be blocked where the Rio Grande had overtopped its bank.

Since I only live 2 miles from the river now, it was an easy choice of a place to go to do my active rest day ruck. I was amazed to see that the river had risen probably another foot and that part of the trail where I ran yesterday was completely covered.

Perfect weather for a run this morning. I had a Vita Coco coconut water with pineapple. 22 ounces of water and enough bars, so I just kept going until I got to the river, and then ran back!
