My training logs for each week this summer have consisted of runs, hikes, and walks in order to have a good base of mileage to work with. In just over a week, I will reach my anniversary of 60 years of running. I don’t see much changing, but I do know that I will have to add in more strength training from now on!

A 15:00 drive to the Corrales Bosque, and it’s a different world. I had my daughter’s dog, Maggie, and we did some exploring in advance of all of us going together on Friday and the dogs getting to swim!

After a 45:00 walk with Maggie, and waiting for my daughter to pick her up after her drug testing for nursing school, I left to run. The “feels like” was 80, and it only got hotter. I went through the 22-ounce handheld with Energize and Tailwind and another 40 ounces or so of water and still ran out. I won’t do that again just to get the miles. The normal high in Albuquerque for today is 89 (https://www.visitalbuquerque.org/about-abq/weather/), and it got to 99. We are having a brutal summer for heat. Those are the Three Sisters Volcanoes on the mesa to the west.
